In fact, he is the only Invisalign Premier Provider in the entire Kalamazoo/Portage region! He is considered a thought-leader on the subject having been selected as one of four orthodontists in the country for the Invisalign Teen Research Investigative Team. Dr. Bowman has contributed numerous innovations within the Invisalign system to increase the effectiveness of the clear aligners.
The Difference Is Clear
The Invisalign system combines the ancient science of orthodontics with modern-day computer technology. Similar to traditional braces, Invisalign aligners apply gentle force to your teeth to gradually shift them in small increments to the predetermined final and straight positioning. Utilizing advanced 3-D computer graphics, a system of tailor-made, highly calibrated aligners are designed to fit your mouth perfectly. Depending on the severity of adjustments needed, patients may receive as few as a dozen aligners or as many as 48. Each series of custom aligners is designed to be to be worn for a two-week period before the user is ready to advance to the next aligner.
One of the most beneficial aspects of Invisalign aligners is that they can easily be removed from your mouth meaning you do not need to avoid certain foods just because you’re undergoing orthodontic treatment. Users are able to eat and drink whatever they please. The aligners are also to be removed during brushing and flossing so users can continue their normal oral hygiene regiment without having to worry about troublesome wires and brackets. As patients advance from one aligner to the next, their teeth begin to slowly move into the desired positioning. This process continues until all of your aligners are used, at which point you’ll have the smile of your dreams!
